Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), with its gamut of symptoms from "merely annoying to downright uncomfortable, to, in the worst-case scenario, totally excruciating," appears to be an inevitable result of aging for most men. Preuss (Georgetown Univ. Medical Ctr.) and Adderly (The Arthritis Cure, Wheeler, 1997) review current BPH treatment options from alternative therapies to surgery. The "miracle" cure they confidently espouse is cernitin, a pollen extract from Sweden shown in recent studies to have an overall clinical efficacy of 85 percent. They conclude that cernitin has a mild beneficial effect on prostatic volume and urination variables in patients with symptomatic BPH and prostatism syndromes. I have been suffering from cronic prostatites since I was 40 years old (I'm 54 now). I had tried many Doctor prescribed treatments but the symptoms continued to reoccur. I then heard about saw palmetto and started taking it 4 years ago, which helped greatly for the first 3 years. Then I noticed it was not helping as much and searched for help. I bought the Prostate Cure from Amazon and read it thoroughly. It was very reassuring to know that there may be help. I performed a search on the internet for Cernitin and purchased a bottle immediately.I have been taking it for a year and it has been a very successful treatment for my prostate. I still continue to take a mens health vitamin with 160mg saw palmetto and other vitamins and minerals. The title is misleading in that it is not really a cure, if I stop taking the cernitin the symptoms return. However with continued treatment I have become a new man.
After reading the book I started taking Cernilton because I was beginning to have problems related to my prostate (58 year old male). If I remember correctly, I started to notice a difference within 2 weeks. My PSA test a few months ago was 1.5 & my previously slightly enlarged prostate had reduced in size. I'm very glad that I read this book because the products I had been taking for the prostate had limited or no noticeable effects.
