This book provided some very useful information, but active tense rather than future tense that is used throughout would make it a much better read! It seems as though English is not the author's native language.
A nice book to read it and get started in the big world of raspberry pi. The writer use a simple language in benefits to us the newbie.

Did not meet expectations. Beginner to me means a lot of preconceived notions need more elucidation.

This ebook, like so many others on this subject, suffers a problem of truthfulness. The author, in trying to differentiate his ebook from other, similar, ebooks, makes excessive claims. In this case, the claim is that it takes you to "Advanced" use of the Raspberry Pi. This is not the case. At best, this ebook gets the user to an intermediate level, but just barely.Other problems with the ebook are that it is badly in need of a competent editor, and the list of Linux commands is far too short.In order to get the user to an advanced level, it would be necessary to cover much more of the Linux Command Line, and to cover programming the GPIO pins to do different tasks.
The paper edition of this book is extremely poorly written. Barely understandable. It is not "Step By Step" and it leaps into advanced before it clears up the beginner. It is not what I expected from the title.
Must have been translated from some other language into English. Bad grammar and typos abound. No really useful error free information!
