I just bought a Weber Q1400 electric grill. If someone had some experience with barbecuing, or this sort of thing seemed intuitive to them, they would likely take to an electric grill pretty easily. Apparently that’s not me.I’ve looked at on-line sources and bought several books about grilling. They had interesting recipes and helpful advice. But when I pulled up a sample of “Weber’s Greatest Hits†and read the Top Ten Tips for Grilling Greatness, it finally clicked for me. It’s the first thing I’ll look at this summer while I enjoy cooking outside.With the exception of my husband’s love for steak, I’m planning to use the grill mainly for vegetables and fish. So quite a few recipes are not ones I’m likely to use. But basic grilling instructions are so clear and well written that I find even those recipes interesting.Each recipe separately refers to charcoal and gas grill instructions. More and more of us are living in situations where neither of those are allowed. If I had a suggestion for the author and Weber, it would be to reference electric grills as well. I read many reviews of electric grills before purchasing, and the reviews of Weber’s electric grills are excellent.
I listened to a podcast where Jamie described the target audience for this book; people who want straightforward preparation, low margin for error, and flavorful results. I think this compilation delivers.
If you don't have many Weber cookbooks (I have 10), this is the one to get.
Excellent resource! Easy to follow recipes and a nice variety as well. Already have triedabout 8 different dishes since I got the book. A great companion to my Weber Grills.
This cook book is excellent. Great for beginners and expert griller's alike. I bought all of my kids and my brother inlay one for their belated Birthday gift after I received mine. Best caesar salad dressing recipe accompanies the grilled hearts of roaming recipe.Treasures on every page.
This is a great cookbook for the grill. Saw it on our local news station with recipes being demonstrated. We have made several yummy things on the grill this summer. A must have for summer grilling! Helpful grilling tips also included in addition to great recipes.
So far we are 5 for 5 with recipes we've tried. Got it for Father's Day. Me thinks it's a keeper.
The first cookbook I've ever read and absolutely loved it! I've been living out of apartments for the last 12+ years, and finally now a home owner with the capability to grill in the back yard.Within this book I have learned a lot about grilling and now have a ton of mouth watering recipes to prepare for my family. Highly recommend this book for anyone who is new to grilling and wants to learn more or just wants to add to their collect a large variety of fantastic recipes to try.Great value!
