4.0 stars. I'm giving this series as a whole 4 stars, even though I personally gave up on it after this book. I'm a HEA kind of reader and this series just drags you down into the depths of despair and doesn't let you back out. I end up feeling frustrated and unhappy at the end of each installment, but being the optimist, I hope the next one will be different (hint: it isn't). However, I still gave it four stars because it's well written and well executed and if you aren't the kind of person who needs a happy ending, this series may be right up your alley. The characters are engaging and the situations intense. So a good series -- just not for me.
Another great add to the series. I really like where this series is going with each book we get more of Noel and his struggles to find his new self. Trying to fight a loosing battle against his Sire and paying the price. Slowly he's changing the way he thinks and feels. Add in some Dragons like Tylendel and it will probably be your favorite so far. Sexy, Kinky and crazy, the New Haven world is expanding and I can't wait for the next.
Noel lives in a future dystopian society where vampires rule over humans and where his fate as a newly turned vampire to Théoden brings with it many rules and punishments for breaking those rules. Noel MUST get some control of himself and his new situation. Noel tries desperately to stay in control, of himself and his new environment. Some parts of his new vampire “debaucherous†existence is very appealing but he doesn’t want to lose his humanity. He feels his human soul letting go and his new vampire “soul†in control. This is book 5 of 6. Books 1 thru 4 must be read before!
This series by far has to be the best thing I have read in a very long long time. It's not the same old same obscenity is what makes it so look good. It's a dark erotic paranormal story. There is nothing quite like it out there which makes it so go that I find myself rereading the series over and over from the start. This series MUST be read in order to really be enjoyed. This latest book really gets into the paranormal realm. Definitely well written and smooth transition between each book. I can't wait for the next installment in this series.
While its true the explicit sexual scenes are graphic, i was hoping for an actual story as well. Seems the only part that wasnt sex was when they changd locations. Nothing else really happens but sex, feeding, and going from room to room more sex no storyline
This Series blows my mind! I read all 5 parts in one setting and now have a couple days to wait for the final installment.This is definitely a dark taboo read that will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next?Anxiously awaiting for #6!
I thought that the last book was the hottest, but this one blew that away. In accepting his place as a scion of Theoden, Noel is beginning to come into his own.
Noel gets in touch with his dragon side. He excepted his vampire nature only to find out that he is also a sex starved dragon. Poor straight guy, well he used to be straight.
